Life Isn't About What Happens To You! (Wishful Thinking On Wonders and Dreams)

Judy Underwood, Chasing Rainbow,

Thursday Flash Fiction Week 28: Innocence and Dreams

 It might be true that
Life isn't about what happens to you,
It's about how you handle what happens,
when the chance to fight at battlefield comes,
Soldiers roll in bundles to key grounds,
No time to dry tears like halcyon times,
Too busy to remain calm upon bolts of bullets,
The damp smell eases the interests to savor
any ashes trapped at the corners of their mind,
History shook the husk of storms
with high mountains climbed,
and wide waters crossed,,
Exhausted emotions bring deeper fears,
Pray for a future promising like a growing child
and enticing like the rising sun.

The Raymond Yarn (Poets Rally and Short Fiction)

Come, let's press the gas pedal and meet,
have a seat,
drink some juice, get on twitter,
and share some poetry
while resting your feet.
Come, let's knit,
buy some wool,
read a book, rest a little bit,
and learn a crafting trick
while admiring Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Come, let's make a scarf,
Italian style,
Needles from Chicago, Samples from Austin,
Affordable yarn from Broadway bookstore,
Seattle aromas of knowledge branch are enough.

Footnote To Timonshen

I miss you when the house contains only me,
I miss you when I suffer boredom,
Hot Jasmine tea is drunk for spirit victory,
I bless y'all safety and tomato-perfect wisdom.
